Here at CrossKnots, I handmake one-of-a-kind creations. I specialize in mailboxes, birdhouses, rustic furniture, woodturning – and so much more! Each creation is done by me, by hand. As they are all unique, some may vary a little from the photo you see on my store. If you’re looking for that unique, one-of-a-kind mailbox or other artwork, this is where you will find it. Each project takes approximately four weeks to complete so please order ahead if you are working with a deadline.
Custom Creations
Every project is a custom creation. And, many times, what people dream up become shop favorites for other people in the future too. I’m happy to work with you to create your own unique design and project. You can see some of my work in my Etsy shop as well. One thing about Crossknots is that you can always expect quality custom woodworking.
Why I Started Crossknots Woodworking
One of the reasons that I started Crossknots Woodworking is because it’s my passion. I enjoy creating in the woodshop. And, it brings me joy to know that people can get their custom creations. Many times there is a sentimental value to a project for the person requesting it. In the end, it’s my job to fulfill that need and make sure that everything is exactly as you want it.
Looking for Something Particular?
If you’re looking for a particular product, it’s best to use the search function located at the bottom of each webpage. Or, you can browse through the Shop. As you browse, you can add items to your card and go in to compare them there. Of course, if you have questions about any particular products, I would be happy to help you. Some of the photographs picture various colors and others only show a couple of different color schemes. It’s important to know that you can ask for any color for your custom project. There may just not be a photo of that color yet because someone hasn’t requested it before you.
Details about Custom Work
These are no patterns for my creations so every single one will be a little bit different. All custom creations take about 4 weeks to create, and I will ship as soon as your product is done. Some assembly may be required for some items. And, if you are interested in further paint details like lettering or numbering, please contact me as it may be extra. I don’t accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations, but please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Mailboxes
By default, I use a standard size, PO approved, mailbox for my custom creations. The size of the mailbox itself is 6 1/2″ x 18″ x 7 1/2.” I can also do large and jumbo sized boxes which do cost a bit extra to ship – please contact for building and shipping details.
